Kendall Jenner’s Los Angeles Home Is More Organic Than You’d Expect | SR Cribs
When it comes to their homes, the Kardashian-Jenners all have very distinct styles. But what they do have in common is exquisite taste as we’ve seen all over the years as they change their homes and decor like they are changing clothes. Whether it’s Kim and Kanye’s minimalist home or Kylie’s colorful crib, the famous family have proven that with great fame and fortune comes great living. One person whose home we hadn’t seen before now is Kendall Jenner. Kendall Jenner house
Thanks to Architectural Digest, we’ve gotten the opportunity to take a look at Kendall Jenner’s dreamy Los Angeles home which is featured on AD’s September cover.
Her design team, which consisted of a mother-and-son duo, Kathleen and Tommy Clements, and Waldo Fernandez were quite surprised by the taste of their 24-year-old superstar client. “Her taste was surprising, more bohemian and funky than the rest of her family. The mood she described was totally understated and down-to-earth,” Tommy Clements recalls to AD.
I too was quite surprised to see that her home is much more mature and organic and far from flashy and contemporary, but that’s Kendall Jenner for you––ever so unpredictable.
“This is the first home I’ve done completely, and I think it’s a genuine reflection of who I am and what I like,” said Kendall. “In the end, I’m still a young female in L.A., just trying to have some fun.”
Kendall bought the home, which previously was owned by Charlie Sheen, in 2017. After purchasing it, the house went through a total revamp. As part of the remodel, she turned one of its five bedrooms into a fitting room and glam room which she calls the “Hannah Montana room.” The glam room has a wall filled with pictures of all her magazine covers. She also increased the size of her master bathroom shower and raised the room’s ceilings. The bathroom also has what she refers to as a giant gold tub, which is made of brass.
Just off the hallway, there is a giant, glowing wall sculpture from James Turrell — an artist she learned about from her brother-in-law Kanye West. “I was introduced to his work by Kanye, who collaborates with him,” Kendall explains. “I wanted this piece to be a focal point of the house, and I’m so hyped to have it here.”
Kendall converted the movie theater room into an art studio where she paints to help relieve stress, calling it a form of therapy. She also has a huge closet she clears out every two months. Away from the living area, she has a beautifully designed patio space with a pool area and a space for barbecue.
“My life involves a lot of chaos and travel and high energy, so I wanted a home that feels serene, a place where I can simply zone out and relax,” said Kendall. “I’m not a huge party person. There aren’t a lot of ragers going on here. I like turning on music, lighting the fireplace and candles, and watching NBA games with my friends.” Kendall Jenner house
