Edo born singer, Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan, popularly known by her previous stage name Cynthia Morgan, whose songs paved the way for Dancehall and Hip hop fusion in Nigeria, revealed a lot when she went live on Instagram last night.
The 28-year-old singer who got signed to North Side Entertainment––owned by Jude Okoye––in 2013 has announced that she now goes by the stage name Madrina.
Speaking on the instagram live interview conducted by Sandra Ogbebor, the lady who fronted the #BringBackCynthiaMorgan campaign, Cynthia Morgan revealed a number of things to her fans. In particular, she alleged that she faced some difficulties while working under Jude Okoye’s record label, North Side Inc, including being restricted from many things like her social media accounts. She also alleged that she was forbidden from using her own stage name “Cynthia Morgan” after their separation.

Cynthia Morgan also revealed how her career ended due to the shocking fall out of P-Square in 2017 and a sickness she dealt with for years which she spent all her savings treating. She added that though she didn’t like the situation she found herself in and could have sued Jude Okoye, she just thought it wise to let it slide.
Hours after the Instagram live went viral, Peter Okoye aka Mr. P, formerly one half of the defunct P-Square duo, backed up her claim with a couple of tweets. Of course, many were surprised that he chimed in considering that Jude Okoye is his elder brother. His tweets served to prove that there may still be some unresolved issues between the brothers.
And some people thought i was stupid when I made the right decision. My dear C Morgan! it’s never to late to be what you might have been. God will surely see you through and carry you through the storm. Keep believing👌🏽.
